Zement nach EN 197-1 muss bei entsprechender Dosierung und nach entsprechendem Mischen mit Gesteinsk√∂rnungen und Wasser Beton oder M√∂rtel ergeben, der ausreichend lang verarbeitbar sein muss, nach einer bestimmten Zeitraum ein festgelegtes Festigkeitsniveau erreicht und langfristig raumbest√§ndig sein muss.

Die Lebenszyklusanalyse des Zements umfasst die Lebenswegabschnitte "cradle to gate", d. h. die Herstellung von Roh- und Brennstoffen sind ebenso berücksichtigt, wie die Zementherstellung. Sekundärbrennstoffe gehen ohne Umweltlast in das System ein. Die Transportvorgänge sind berücksichtigt. Die Systemgrenze bildet das versandfertige lose Produkt. Transporte zur Weiterverarbeitung sind nicht berücksichtigt und müssen bei erweiterten Systembetrachtungen eingerechnet werden.</technologyDescriptionAndIncludedProcesses>
